FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2017

By entering this promotion participants will be deemed to have accepted, and will be bound by, these terms and conditions and by any other requirements set out in related promotional materials. These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

Eligibility to enter / opening and closing dates

  1. This Promotion is open to residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Employees of Coca-Cola Great Britain, Coca-Cola European Partners, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

  2. 1 unique code under can ring pull or from multipack insert entitles participants to £25 off one full gate priced adult ticket at Alton Towers Resort or THORPE PARK Resort and a one shot Fastrack to participating rides (subject to availability). No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups, syndicates will be accepted. No incomplete, corrupted entries or multiple entries over 6 per day from the same person will be accepted.

  3. Participants must be 16 years or over.

  4. Internet and email account required.

  5. Main promotional Period: 3rd July to 19th October 2017.

    6. How to participate


  6. Purchase a specially marked promotional pack of Orange, Orange Zero or Fruit Twist Fanta; Sprite or Sprite Zero and Dr Pepper or Dr Pepper Zero: 330ml x 8 pack, 330ml x 6 pack or individual 330ml can.

  7. One code will be available on 330ml individual cans, three codes will be available within 330ml x 6 pack and four codes will be available in the 330ml x 8 pack. The unique code can be found under the ring pull of the 330ml can or on a printed paper insert within the 6 x 330ml packs and 8x 300ml packs. Go online at www.Fanta.co.uk/Merlin or www.Sprite.co.uk/Merlin or www.Drpepper.co.uk/Merlin and select the theme park (either Alton Towers Resort or THORPE PARK Resort) that you wish to visit. You will then be redirected to www.funcountdown.com where you need to select your date of visit and Fastrack ride type choice to book your tickets. You will then be asked to enter your unique code on the attraction booking page to receive the discounted ticket price. Please select number of tickets and check out as per the instructions on the page. Your £25 discount will automatically be applied to one full gate priced adult ticket plus you will receive a one shot Fastrack pass voucher valid for one participating ride (subject to availability) on your date of visit.

  8. Participants are advised to take care when entering their unique code online; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes. Only correct codes will be accepted and allow participants to redeem the promotional offer.

  9. The One shot Fastrack offer entitles participants to one queue-jump on one participating ride at their selected theme park on their booked date of visit and is subject to operational availability. During the online ticket purchase you will be asked to make a selection for the one shot Fastrack ride type. You will have to selected either a “family ride” or a “coaster ride”. At Alton Towers Resort“Family Rides” include Rapids, Runaway Mine Train, Spinball, Enterprise, Battle Galleons, Marauder’s Mayhem, Duel and Hex and “Coaster Rides” include: The Smiler, Galactica, Nemesis, Oblivion, Rita, Th13teen. At THORPE PARK Resort “Coaster Rides” include The Swarm, SAW – The Ride, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and Stealth and “Family Rides” include Tidal Wave, Rumba Rapids, Flying Fish, King Pig’s Wild Hog Dodgems, X, Rush, Vortex, Zodiac and Samurai)

    10. Please note the one shot Fastrack offer has a 500 cap per day, per theme park, with the exception of The Smiler and Galactica at Alton Towers Resort which are capped at 50 per day, and will be allocated to bookings on a first come first served basis on the day of visit. Please note: This offer is subject to operational availability and excludes THORPE PARK Resort’s Derren Brown’s Ghost Train: Rise of The Demon


  10. To redeem your one shot Fastrack voucher for your chosen category of ride at Alton Towers Resort, please visit the Resort Box Office on Towers Street on your booked date of visit. Booking confirmation must be shown to staff at the Box Office to obtain your one shot Fastrack for your chosen category of ride.To redeem your one shot Fastrack pass voucher at THORPE PARK Resort, please visit Advance Ticket Collection located to the right hand side of the turnstiles. Booking confirmation must be shown to staff on arrival at the Advance Ticket Collection.

    11. Main promotional offer


  11. Main promotional offer is valid for bookings and visits to Alton Towers Resort and THORPE PARK Resort up to and including 19th October 2017. After this period the promotional period will close and you will not be able to book online or use your unique code. Tickets and Fastrack will be available to book (unless quota reached) until midnight the day before visit.

  12. Main promotional offer is £25 off full gate priced adult ticket at Alton Towers Resort and THORPE PARK Resort when purchasing online using your unique code, plus a one shot Fastrack valid for one participating ride, subject to availability.

  13. The one shot Fastrack offer has a 500 cap per day, per theme park, with the exception of The Smiler and Galactica at Alton Towers Resort which are capped at 50 per day, and will be allocated at the attraction on a first come first served basis. Please note: This offer is subject to operational availability and excludes THORPE PARK Resort: Derren Brown’s Ghost Train. One Fastrack pass per person. Maximum of 3 card transactions per person per day are permitted. Multiple tickets can be purchased in 1 transaction and the £25 off discount will apply per ticket, per unique code up to a maximum of 6 per person per day

  14. Check opening dates and times before your visit on the relevant theme park website as some theme parks have mid-week closures.

  15. Please note theme parks will be closed on the following dates during 2017 when guest visitation has historically been very low:
    Alton Towers Resort will be closed:
    6th, 13th, 20th and 27th September 2017
    4th, 11th and 18th October 2017
    THORPE PARK Resort will be closed:
    3rd, 4th, 5th October 2017
    10th, 11th, 12th October 2017
    17th, 18th October 2017

  16. This offer can only be used as stipulated and is not for resale. Photocopies will not be accepted. Admission prices are subject to change. Offer cannot be used in-conjunction with any other offer or concession (e.g. senior citizens, family tickets), reward/loyalty program, pre-purchased tickets, Combination tickets, 2 Day Pass, Annual Pass, online tickets, or Fastrack tickets outside of the stated offer, rail inclusive offers, on secondary ticketed events, hotel events or concerts or for Group/advance bookings.

  17. All of the theme parks reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse entry and to close and/or alter all or any part of the facilities including closure of rides and/or theme parks and removal of figures for technical, operational, health and safety or other reasons including overcapacity.

  18. Offer is not valid for use in conjunction with any other offer, concession or call centre booking.

  19. This offer is not valid for accommodation including but not limited to, the Alton Towers Hotels, Enchanted Village (Woodland Lodges, Tree Houses and Tree Top Quest), Waterpark, Spa or Golf attractions at the Alton Towers Resort, and the THORPE SHARK Hotel at THORPE PARK Resort. Please check each of the parks website for additional costs.

  20. This offer does not cover travel expenses and/or spending money

    21. COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS (2X 4 TICKETS TO ALTON TOWERS RESORT AND THORPE PARK RESORT)

  21. Competition will run from 3rd July 2017 to 31st December 2017.

  22. To enter the competition you must visit www.funcountdown.com and follow the online instructions. Internet access required. 2x winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received between 3rd July 2017 and 31st December 2017. One entry per person. Winners will be notified by 5th January 2018 by email, telephone or in writing.

  23. There are 2 prizes of a 4 x tickets to either THORPE PARK Resort or Alton Towers Resort ONLY.

  24. Winners and their companions are responsible for any expenses incurred through the prize.

  25. Winners’ tickets will not be assigned to a date of use but will have an expiry date clearly printed on the tickets. Winners can visit their chosen attraction (either THORPE PARK Resort or Alton Towers Resort) from the day they receive their tickets to the end of the 2018 season on any one Park open day.

  26. Prizes are valid for up to 4 people. All entrants and the winners must be 18 or older or have signed authorisation form from a parent or guardian who must be in attendance for the trip. Proof of identity and age may be required. Entrants from the UK only.

  27. Prizes can only be used as stipulated, are not transferable to another individual and cannot be exchanged for cash or used in any other way. Sale of the Prizes for profit is prohibited.  Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or ticket. Prizes must be taken as a complete package. Any purported or attempted transfer or sale of or other misuse of the day entry tickets will render them automatically void.

  29. In the event of circumstances outside its reasonable control, Merlin Entertainments reserves the right to amend or alter the terms of the prizes at any time but will always endeavour to minimise the effect on participants to avoid undue disappointment.

  30. Both of the Attractions reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse entry and to close and/or alter all or any part of the facilities including closure of rides and/or attractions and removal of figures for technical, operational, health and safety or other reasons including overcapacity.

  31. In the event of a prize being unavailable, Merlin Entertainments reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. Tickets will be dated.

  34. Offers are non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. Any person found in breach of this term will be disqualified from participating.

  35. Adult is 12 and over at the Alton Towers Resort and THORPE PARK Resort.

  36. Visitors under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over at THORPE PARK Resort. Visitors 12 years and under must be accompanied by a person 18 years of age or over at Alton Towers Resort.

  37. Entry is free for children under 3 years of age at THORPE PARK Resort and Alton Towers Resort.

  38. Please note that some theme parks operate a chargeable car parking policy including, but not limited to, THORPE PARK Resort and Alton Towers Resort.

  39. Size, height, weight, age restrictions and medical warnings apply to certain rides and/or theme parks.

  41. Entry into any participating Merlin theme park will be subject to the individual theme park’s terms and conditions of entry, which can be found on the websites listed above.

  42. No cash or other alternative gift available in whole or in part, except in the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to offer a suitable alternative of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter, Main promtional offer will only be awarded directly to the winner.

  43. The Promoter's decision is final in all matters pertaining to the promotion.

  44. The Promoter may at its absolute discretion disqualify any participant found to be tampering with the entry process or operation of the website or to be acting in any manner disruptive to the promotion.

  45. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human, mobile or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of offers, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions , at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

  46. Sometimes, through reasons outside of the Promoter’s control, the website (as with any website) may not be accessible. The Promoter cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the website. No responsibility will be accepted for any difficulties in entering, claiming or any entries/claims delayed or corrupted. The Promoter will have no liability for any loss arising out of such an event.

  47. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered due to entering this promotion or taking up a prize.

  48. Limitations of liability: insofar as permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:-
    a. Any incorrect or inaccurate entry, or for any faulty, incorrect, failed, erroneous or failed electronic data transmissions;
    b. Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of this promotion causing delays or disruption;
    c. Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof; or
    d. Insofar as permitted by law, any injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the promotion.

  49. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

  50. This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and the court of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this promotion.

    51. Data Protection

The Promoter and its agents will only use personal information supplied by participants to this promotion for the purposes of administering this promotion, unless consent is received to use such information for any other purpose.
